Décès de Monsieur T. Herman Bartley Bartley, T. Herman - 1921 - 2011 - C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Thomas Herman Bartley sur 5 Novembre 2011, à l'Hôpital de la vallée de l'Upper River, à l'âge de 90 ans. Il est né le 30 Octobre 1921 à Beaconsfield, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Il était le sixième enfant de Wellington et Alice (Flewelling) Bartley. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée de 62 ans, Audrey, quatre enfants - Brenda Keenan (Neil), Nancy McAuley (Gordon), Brent Bartley (Faye), et Janet Gillis (Michael), onze petits-enfants - Kim Thomas (Ian), Jill McAuley (Trevor), Nicholas Keenan (Sarah), Jenna McAuley, Maureen Keenan, Emily Keenan, de la Jordanie Gillis, Tommy Gillis, Brandon Bartley, Ben et Katie Bartley Gillis; trois petites-filles grandes - Noella Thomas, Aurora Keenan et Sydney Thomas, l'un soeur - Grace Lee, de Saint-Jean; un frère - Claude (Jeanne) de Portland, au Maine et une soeur-frère Bartley Gemma de Houlton, Maine; plusieurs nièces et neveux. Il a été précédé par ses parents, quatre frères et trois sœurs. Herman servi comme sergent dans l'armée canadienne durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale et a servi outre-mer de 1942-1945 avec le Régiment de Trois-rivière. Il a été membre de la Direction de la Légion royale canadienne # 37 pour plus de 55 ans. Jour du Souvenir a toujours été très important pour Herman. Il serait fier de mars avec ses compagnons anciens combattants et de participer à des assemblées scolaires et servies église. Il a été membre du Club de Curling de Florenceville depuis de nombreuses années. Il a été employé par le ministère de l'Agriculture de 1962-1986 comme un inspecteur de pommes de terre. Pendant ses années de retraite il jouissait de curling, la pêche, la chasse, en jouant crèche, raconter des histoires, voyager et passer du temps avec sa famille et ses nombreux amis. Il a été membre de l'Église anglicane Saint Barnabas à Greenfield. He was born on October 30, 1921 in Beaconsfield, New Brunswick. He was the sixth child of Wellington and Alice (Flewelling) Bartley. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 62 years, Audrey; four children - Brenda Keenan (Neil), Nancy McAuley (Gordon), Brent Bartley (Faye), and Janet Gillis (Michael); eleven grandchildren - Kim Thomas (Ian), Jill McAuley (Trevor), Nicholas Keenan (Sarah), Jenna McAuley, Maureen Keenan, Emily Keenan, Jordan Gillis, Tommy Gillis, Brandon Bartley, Ben Bartley and Katie Gillis; three great granddaughters - Noella Thomas, Aurora Keenan and Sydney Thomas; one sister - Grace Lee of Saint John; one brother - Claude (Jeanne) of Portland, Maine and one sister-in-law Gemma Bartley of Houlton, Maine; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. Herman served as a Sergeant in the Canadian Army during World War II and served overseas from 1942-1945 with the Three River Regiment. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #37 for over 55 years. Remembrance Day was always very important to Herman. He would proudly march with fellow veterans and participate in the school assemblies and church servies. He was a member of the Florenceville Curling Club for many years. He was employed by the Department of Agriculture from 1962-1986 as a Potato Inspector. During his retirement years he enjoyed curling, fishing, hunting, playing crib, telling stories, travelling and spending time with family and many friends. He was a member of Saint Barnabas Anglican Church in Greenfield.
